Course 2: Mindful Managers

By the end of this course managers will learn ways to become more grounded in the present. They will learn skills that will facilitate a greater connection to others as well as a more mindful way of being.

UNIT 1  Executive Presence
Experience a deeper sense of physical presence through being grounded
Mindful connections through non-verbal communication
Attracting interested curiosity of others through grounded presence
Practising how to be present with the wholeness that you are

UNIT 2  Mindful Leadership

  • Being grounded to the sensitivities of caution as a precursor to gaining trust
  • Focusing awareness on the experiences of a positive relationship
  • Demonstrating mindfulness as a way to foster connections to others
  • Meditation focusing on your immediate environment

UNIT 3  Whole Team Development
Fostering team development
Overview of Tuckman & Jensen’s 4 phase Model
Accepting uniqueness of individuals and teams
Pausing and focusing on an inclusive environment

UNIT 4  Easy Delegation
Being grounded and knowing your limits
Mindfully assessing the available resources
Pausing for presence of mind for a win/win situation
Attuning to being grounded in the moment

This course runs for 12 hours and can be scheduled to fit with individual organisations’ needs ie two 6 hour workshops or four 3 hour workshops.

Individual Units may also be taken and run for 3 hours each.  Each Unit can also be broken down into two 1.5 hour workshops, which, when run on separate days, reinforces the practice and the benefit of grounded presence.

A Certificate of Completion will be provided at the end of each Course and can be used for Professional Development points or to demonstrate acquired skills. Each participant of the full course (all 4 Units) will receive a personalised ten minute recorded attunement to facilitate clearing the mind and being in the present moment.

Workshops are designed to appeal to different learning styles and may incorporate interactive powerpoint presentations, case studies, role plays and group discussions.
